Jo passionately believes the key to happy, healthy cats is teaching their humans to understand them better and helping cats cope with our hectic, modern lives. She started spreading her compassionate brand of vet care by founding the UK’s first house call vet clinic dedicated to cats which makes getting the best vet care less stressful. What's My Cat Thinking?, her beautifully illustrated book about what cats really need and want to live their best life, was published by DK, Penguin Random House in 2021.

Experience

As well as caring for three senior rescue kitties, Jo and her husband are bringing up two tiny cat people. She loves spending time with her family enjoying and protecting the natural world and is partial to a strong cup of tea, baking to Pavarotti and tending her garden and allotment. Dr Jo Lewis, The Cat Vet, is an award-winning, cat expert vet and author based near Windsor, UK. A lifelong cat lover, she grew up with cats in Australia and has over two decades of experience studying and working with them.
